Eligibility for Admission

1.         Age Limit - The Candidate must have completed the age of 17 to 35 years on 31st Dec of every year..
2.         Candidate should be the resident of Punjab.
3.         Education – 10 + 2 (Punjabi upto Matric) or its equivalent examination from a recognized board/university with minimum 40% marks in aggregate for general categories and 35% for reserve categories. Preference will be given to Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) students.
4.         Working knowledge of English and Punjabi is necessary.
5.         Candidate should be medically fit.
6.         Reservations of seats for SC/ST, BC and others as per Punjab Government Rules.
7.         Hostel is available for students.
8.         Selection will be made purely on merit base.
9.       According to merit limited number of candidates will be called for counseling.
10.       Eligibility of a candidate will be finalized at the time of counseling.

NOTE

1.      All the selected candidates will have to deposit full fee on the day of joining in the respective institute in the shape of Demand Draft favouring Principal of respective institution.
2. Failure to deposite the fee on the day of joining will lead to cancellation of admission and the seat will be offered to the next candidate in subsequent counselling.

3.         Bank Draft made payable in the name of Principal ,School of Nursing,S.B.L.S Civil Hospital, Jalandhar.
4.         All charges are subject to revision by Punjab Government from time to time during the period of course.
5.         Students will have to pay for the uniform and books separately.
6.         Diet charges will be extra as per actuals.

 

 

PROCEDURE OF ADMISSION

  Candidates will have to apply online to Baba Farid University of Health Science, Faridkot through website www.bfuhs.ac.in. After applying online successfully, a bank challan from will be genrated. Candidates will get print out of Bank Challan form and deposit the fee of Rs. 500/- in any branch of Oriental Bank of Commerece(OBC). Candidates will also get print of online filled application form. Candidates need not to send the print out of application form to the university. Candidates will bring the print out of application form alongwith self attested copies of ducuments and fee receipt at the time/Venue of counseling. Candidates will also bring all the original certificates/documents at the time/venue of counseling for verfication.

 

 

RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE HOSTEL

1.         It is compulsory to stay in the hostel during the training period.
2.         Students will run a co-operative mess on actual basis. Mess charges are to be paid by 7th day of the month.
3.         Rooms should be kept clean and tidy. Students are fully responsible for loss/damages of furniture supplied to them.
4.         Proper locks should be put to the cupboards and boxes. Jewellery and expensive items are not permitted in the rooms.
5.         Wastage of water and electricity will render the students liable to disciplinary action.
6.         Students should come to the mess in proper dress.
7.         In case of sickness, student should report to the Principal/Warden.
8.         All letters coming to the students will be censored by the Principal and Warden.
9.         The last Saturday of the month will be Parents-Teachers day. Parents can meet teachers between 10 AM – 12 Noon regarding their daughters.
10.       Parents/Relatives should visit the students during visiting hours only i.e. from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm in visiting room on Sundays only. The students should submit 5 photographs each of the responsible relatives to the Principal. Only such relatives will be allowed to visit the student whose photographs have been submitted.
11.       Visitors are not allowed to go the students room.
12.       In case of gross misconduct, training can be terminated at any time.

Management is fully authorized to effect any change in rules and regulations at any time.

UNIFORM

The uniform is compulsory to wear in this in the institute as well as during clinical work in the hospital.

VACATIONS AND HOLIDAYS

 ELIGIBILIGY FOR ADMISSION TO EXAMINATION

 

A Candidate shall be eligible for admission to the examination if:

The Head of the school certifies that:
a.         She has completed not less than eleven months of the course and that her total performance has been satisfactory during that period.
b.         Minimum requirement for passing shall be 50% in aggregate (Internal, External and Practicals).

 

 

Examination Fees

The students themselves have to pay their examination fees to the Punjab Nurses Registration Council for the examination conducted by the Council through the Institution.
Please Note:
Every student has to complete her clinical experience before she is relieved from (training period) the Institution.

REGISTRATION:

The students who are declared successful in the final year examination are eligible for registration with the Punjab Nurses Registration Council as Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife, after completing their period of training, Students should obtain No Due Certificate and Clinical experience certificate from the Hospital and school of Nursing before registration. The students have to pay own registration fee to the P.N.R.C. through the Institution.

 

 

GENERAL RULES AND REGULATION

• The discipline of institute is to be strictly observed. For breach of discipline a student may be fined or expelled from the institute. No refund of fee will be allowed.
• Institute will not be responsible for delay or postponement of the examinations.
• The Principal reserves the right to change the timetable at any time.
• Leave application is to be got recommended through the respective class teachers.
• Applications should be signed by the parents/guardians.
• House examinations/tests will be compulsory except sick students having permission of the Principal.
• 80% attendance is essential in classes, demonstrations, practicals, clinics, hospital day and night.
• A student whose progress and conduct is considered unsatisfactory may be  struck off from rolls without any notice.
• Students will not be allowed to entertain their relatives during school hours.
• Parents as well as students will submit a combined affidavit that she will fully observe the above said rules and regulations.

Female Candidates, residents of Punjab are invited for GNM (3 Years) course having passed 10+2 Examination from recognized Board/ University. Ist Preference will be given to science students.
